This area of our site is designed to support new MPs as you ease into your new role.

While you have access to the full site, this area highlights areas that will be most important to you as you get started.

The quickest and easiest way to find answers to general queries is on this website. You can find the rules of the Scheme, view guidance, download forms, and follow step-by-step instructions on how to complete IPSA tasks. You can also search across all our content types.

Our teams are also happy to help. We have included our contact details below and information about how our Account Manager teams are split across regions.

Guidance

IPSA provides all MPs with a named Account Manager, Payroll Officer, and HOST Manager to support you throughout your tenure.

Account Managers

Your Account Manager will support you during your induction. They will conduct regular check-ins to answer your questions as you become familiar with our Scheme rules and learn to use IPSA Online.

Your Account Manager will be available to answer any queries, provide helpful advice, and assist you in optimising your budgets.

Payroll Officers

MPs are also provided with a named Payroll Officer. They will ensure you and your staff receive a seamless payroll service.

Your Payroll Officer will help you understand your staffing budget, advise how to use our handy online tools and calculators to forecast budget spending, and process all payroll forms you send us.

HOST Managers

MPs are also provided with a named HOST (Homes and Offices Services Team) Manager who will support you in registering properties, arranging deposit loans, and making rental payments on your behalf if requested.

How we are organised

Our teams are organised by geographical area and led by one of our MP Services Managers.

IPSA staff work remotely and are based throughout the UK.

You can contact us by phone and email, and arrange one-on-one calls with your named contacts.

Our teams also visit their areas to engage with our customers.

Calling us

MPs and their staff with general or urgent queries can call us on 020 7811 6400.

From 8 July 2024, our phone lines are open from 0900 to 1630 Monday to Friday.

Please have your Resource ID number to hand as we will require this for data security purposes.

We aim to get back to you within five working days but we’ll reply sooner if we can.

If your query is urgent, and you cannot find an answer on our website, we recommend you call us for a speedier response.

Booking a call

You can book a call with your named Payroll Officer and HOST Account Manager using our call booking system. They will contact you at the allocated time.

The booking system enables you to provide some information about the nature of your query which, if completed, will help our colleagues to prepare before contacting you.

While IPSA is only a small part of your role, it can take some time to familiarise yourself with the funding and support we provide and to become comfortable with our processes and the IPSA Online system.

To support you, we offer a comprehensive induction programme.

All new MPs should attend an initial introductory session where – as well as explaining our induction offer – we provide high-level information about:

  • who we are

  • how we support you, and

  • what to expect from us

We provide themed modules about key subjects. The modules can be attended virtually. Our team will present the information, and answer any questions.

Recorded versions of the training are also available on demand.

You will be supported by an Account Manager who will check in regularly to help you navigate the induction process and answer any questions.

Your staff are welcome to attend any of the modules.
