IPSA payment cards for MPs and proxies
What you need to know
As part of our ongoing efforts to streamline and enhance our expense and reconciliation processes, we are transitioning from Barclaycard corporate cards to Lloyds corporate cards. Our agreement with Barclaycard will end on 2 June 2026.
Please read the following important information carefully to ensure a smooth transition.
Card delivery
MPs
Your new Lloyds corporate card will be available to collect from the Info Hub in Portcullis House from 13-20 May.
Proxies
Your new Lloyds corporate card will be delivered to your address that we have on IPSA Online.
Please ensure your phone number and home address are up to date. Your cards should arrive on or before the week beginning 25 May 2026.
Activation process
MPs
We will activate your cards and update your phone number within a week of you receiving them, or you can activate them instantly by calling the Card Activation line on 0345 030 6263.
Once you have successfully used your Lloyds card, please safely destroy your Barclaycard.
If you experience any difficulties using your new Lloyds card, please let us know. Any cards being posted will need to be activated by calling the Card Activation line.
Proxies
Your card will need to be activated by calling the Card Activation line on 0345 030 6263.
Transaction authentication is carried out via text or phone, so please ensure your mobile phone details are correct. If you need to update these, call 0800 096 4496 or email lloydscorpcards@tsysmsemea.com.

Online access
Instructions will be provided with your card which will allow you to register for Lloyds’ online services. You can do this by visiting commercialcards.co.uk/lloydsbank/, where you’ll be able to view transactions, access statements, and securely manage your account.
Your credit limit is your monthly transaction limit on your current card. The standard monthly limit remains the same as with Barclaycard.
Policy compliance
Please re-read and confirm that you understand our Payment Card Policy and guidelines.
It is essential that all card usage aligns with company policy.

You can change your password either online or by calling the customer service team.
Customer service phone lines are open between 08:00 and 20:00 Monday to Friday, and 090:0 to 16:30 on Saturdays.
If your card is lost or stolen, please call the 24/7 helpline on 0800 096 4496.
