London-area constituencies after the General Election

Following the Boundary Commissions review, a series of changes to parliamentary constituency boundaries and names will take effect from the 4 July 2024 General Election.

Under the rules of the Scheme, certain constituencies are designated as “London-area constituencies”.

MPs representing a London-area constituency have access to larger capped budgets and are eligible to receive the London-area Living Payment (LALP), reflecting the generally higher costs in the capital. These MPs are not, however, entitled to any funding for accommodation.

Based on the constituency boundary changes, we have updated the list of London-area constituencies to reflect the names of the “successor” constituencies to those previously designated as such.

From the day after Polling Day, 5 July 2024, the London-area constituencies for the purposes of the Scheme are:
