Five top tips for dissolution

01 | You and your staff will continue to be paid as normal. You cannot make changes to a staff member’s contract, but you can employ new staff where needed and you can make temp staff permanent.

02 | You can only make claims and use your Payment Card for costs relating to your parliamentary work. You cannot claim for campaigning costs or electoral activities.

03 | You and your staff can continue to claim for the cost of travel related to your parliamentary work. Travel for campaigning or other activities is not claimable.

04 | You should freeze your IPSA-funded websites and include a disclaimer clarifying you are not currently an MP. Your IPSA-funded website cannot be used for campaigning. You can include a link in the disclaimer on your IPSA-funded website to direct people to an alternative website, which could be your campaign website.

05 | You must complete the Declaration Form to confirm whether any IPSA funding was used for campaigning. If you need to make a repayment to IPSA, please use a clear reference when doing so.
